OVERVIEW

The Mission Analysis department offers its support at every iteration of the project through validation via numerical flight simulations. The main activity is the use of flight simulations to ensure the achievement of the desired performance and compliance with the imposed safety margins. In addition to design validation, another commitment is to continuously improve the simulator used in terms of usability, versatility, and breadth of information provided.

PERFORMANCE and SAFETY MARGINS

In collaboration with the other departments, the simulated model is constantly updated; through stochastic simulations, all mission-critical parameters are tracked, including trajectory, velocities, and apogee. With the aid of an accurate atmospheric model, the department ensures mission safety.

SIMULATOR DEVELOPMENT

The simulation is based on RocketPy, a Python library well-suited for our purposes. The year-over-year goal is to increase the quality of the simulation by expanding the types of analyses it can perform, while also continuously improving it from a usability standpoint
